What is financial Wellbeing?

Financial wellbeing is one of the five currencies of life, which also include career, social, physical and community wellbeing. The good news is that they are all within our power to change. We can improve our wellbeing to make an impact long term, the only thing that stops this is ourselves.

It’s important to mention that we should focus on every aspect of wellbeing, solely focusing on one area will create imbalance. Concentrating on finances alone will not bring about well-being, it’s widely known that money isn’t the route to happiness. However if we do not effectively manage our finances, our wellbeing is severely affected.

HOW DO I IMPROVE MY FINANCIAL WELLBEING?

Well it all starts with greater understanding of your personal finances and how to manage them. By getting organised and in control of your money, you will immediately alleviate stress and have greater clarity on your financial future. Having clearly defined goals for the short, mid and long term provides you with a clear path of action. Once you have a financial plan in place, you are more likely to stick to a monthly budget of spending and saving.

Ultimately, this will improve your overall wellbeing, as you remove uncertainty around finance and finally have the money to use on the things that are important to you but also the things that bring you joy.
